I am a dirty-south loudmouth, a queer magnolia flower grown from the potholes of Mississippi. Jackson State University is where I studied Creative Writing. Currently, I serve as Chair for WisCon, a feminist science fiction and fantasy convention. My work centers womanhood, power, resistance, and reclamation of our bodies within speculative fiction. I self-published ‘When Blood Meets Earth’ which won an Indie Lit award. I am an acquisitions editor for FIYAH Lit Mag & Rawhead Journal. My previously published and future works can be found in FIYAH Lit Mag, Harriet’s House, Kawandi, and more to come.
